3. You train Jiu-Jitsu in Toronto? Do you think the training in Brazil helped in your technique?
4. How many days were you in Brazil? What you liked and what they can improve on our Training Center?

1. I learned about the Demian Maia JJ Academy after watching Demian Maia compete in the UFC. I loved how
Demian used jiu jitsu to get his first few victories.
2. The level of jiu jitsu in Canada is developing very quickly. However, the JJ here in Brasil is on a higher level. The most
popular martial arts in Canada so far is BJJ, Muay Thai, Judo, Karate and TKD.
3. Yes, I train BJJ in Toronto at the Ascension BJJ Academy under Prof. Omar Salvosa. Training in Brazil has helped my entire
jiu jitsu game and all techniques.
4. I was here in Brazil for 24 days, from Sept 6th to Sept 30th. I loved training at the academy every day with all the students there and
the different instructors. I think for foreign students, it would be nice to have some people take us around Sao Paulo to see the city more. Also, a place to dry my kimonos after practice would be Nice.
5. My goal in BJJ is to earn my black belt one day. I want to improve my JJ skills to a point where I feel comfortable competing at a very high
level day. I would like to help teach BJJ one day as well.
6. Yes, I want to come back in 2010.
