.) After I finished university I always wanted to train intensiv abroad. So I was looking for a trainings camp where I could stay up to 3 months. I noticed Demian Maia because of his fights in the UFC and his philosophie of winning without hurting his opponents. This idea was the main reason for me to come to São Paulo and to train at his camp.
.) In Áustria MMA is starting to get bigger but in my opinion there is stil a lot of knowledge missing. In Muay Thai and Judô there are a lot of good teachers and competitors in Áustria but not in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. So fare there only a few schools in Áustria where you can train BJJ.
.) Close to my city there is no posibility to train BJJ so I started to train with a smal group. As a blue belt I still have a lot to learn to become a good fighter but also the desire to be a good teacher. For me it was great to have so many people to train with. People who helped me a lot and became friends over these 3 months. My techniques and positions are much better now but my main improvement is, that now I know where my weaknesses are and where I have to contrate on. It is harder to improve without a teacher but still possible.
.) Without a visum I could stay 90 days in Brasil. I liked most to have such a great quality of training with a such good invironment. Of cours it is tough to train up to 3 times per day, but for me it did not feel like training because it is what i like to do. The apparment here is great, with a microweave, a stove, a TV, Xbox, Internet. In the apparment i only missed a tinopener and some possibilies to hang the wet gis.
.) In the future I would like to focus much more on BJJ and I m going to start to teach in Austria.
.) Of course I would like to come back to Brasil as soon as possible, but next year i also start to work as a school teacher and so I do not know jet when I will have time to come back again.
.) Thank you very much for your help and for the great time with all the guys at Demain s Acadamie!
